Cheeseburgers and Grease

My idol Mitch Buchannon once said to hope for the best but prepare for the worst so last Saturday Jon and I signed up for Bike New York's Bike Maintenance 101. It was a class all about fixing your bike, and it was a class we absolutely needed to take. Just in case we get a flat tire in the middle of nowhere at least now we know how to patch it up. It was a hands on class so by the end of the session our hands were all covered with grease, but it was definitely worth it. I positively recommend this bike course to anyone who wants to learn more about their bikes.

After all that hard labor, The Bullet and I got some grub at Lounge 47 which was recommended by our very helpful instructor Roger. They had Six Point so even if Mitch always said never to drink and bike I couldn't resist it. I just love the Sweet Action...

Anyway, back to biking. Jon and I parted ways after getting back to the city. He went home while I went straight to the park to do the Central Park loop. I wanted to log 60 miles (that's 10 laps) but after only 2 laps my right knee was about to blow so I settled for 4 and just biked down the greenway back home. It was a shame since I actually enjoyed riding in the park. I plan to do it again next week so stay tuned!
